Savory Salad
An easy equation for making a salad that is quick and delicious. Allows you to customize the ingredients to the flavors you prefer.

  1. First, place the leafy greens on a plate or serving dish.
  2. Next, arrange vegetables and protein in piles around the perimeter of the serving dish.
  3. Add the optional ingredients to the center or in piles where there is space.
  4. Lastly, squeeze the lemon juice over the arranged salad.
Recipe Notes

I try to use several different colors of vegetables for variety.  I also consider the texture when making combinations.

As for protein, I usually use pan fried tofu or tamari tempeh.  Beans would also be a great addition.

I love sauerkraut and sliced pickles on this type of salad but I could see adding other things like roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, sliced fruit, and whatever else you can find lying around.
